Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! I’m Rugwed from TechNet, and today is Monday, March 17th, 2025. Mondays are always a struggle, especially after a long, relaxing 3-day weekend. I woke up at 7:45 AM, not because I wanted to, but because I had to. The impending deadlines and pending tasks at work were looming over me, and I knew I had to get a head start.
As I rolled out of bed, I began my morning routine, which consisted of a quick shower, brushing my teeth, and getting dressed. I then headed to the kitchen to grab a bite to eat. My breakfast today consisted of a steaming hot cup of chai and some crispy Fafda. The perfect way to start the day!
Post-breakfast, I headed out the door and made my way to the office. The commute is just a short 10-minute walk from my home, which is one of the many perks of living close to work. As I walked in, I was greeted by the familiar faces of my colleagues, all of whom seemed to be struggling with their own cases of the Monday blues.
I settled into my desk and began planning out my day. I had a whopping 7 tasks to complete, and I knew I had to prioritize them carefully if I wanted to get everything done on time. I made a mental note of the tasks, ranked them in order of importance, and dove headfirst into the first one.
Just as I was getting into the zone, my boss walked in and asked me to brief him on my visit to the client site last week. We spent the next hour discussing the details of the project, brainstorming solutions to the challenges we were facing, and making a plan of action for the upcoming week.
Before I knew it, it was already 11:30 AM. Time flies when you’re having fun, or in my case, when you’re stuck in a meeting! We had another meeting scheduled with our team lead to discuss an upcoming project, which was still in its infancy. We spent the next hour discussing the project’s scope, timelines, and deliverables.
After the meeting, I headed back to my desk and dove into the next task on my list. I spent the next hour checking the feasibility of a solution on Creo, a 3D modeling software that we use extensively in our line of work.
As the clock struck 1:00 PM, I realized it was time for lunch. I headed home, which is just a short walk from the office, and had a simple yet satisfying meal. Today’s menu consisted of a humble dal-chawal-subzi combination, which hit the spot perfectly.
Post-lunch, I took a short 10-minute power nap to recharge my batteries. There’s something about a short nap that always leaves me feeling refreshed and revitalized. I headed back to the office, ready to tackle the rest of my tasks.
The afternoon was filled with a product review meeting, which was scheduled to last just 30 minutes but ended up stretching on for a whopping 3 hours! By the time the meeting ended, it was already 4:45 PM, and I was starting to feel the pressure of meeting my deadlines.
I headed back to my desk, determined to make up for lost time. I took a deep breath, focused on the task at hand, and dove back into work. The next couple of hours flew by in a blur as I worked tirelessly to complete my tasks.
As the clock struck 6:00 PM, I took a short break to grab a snack from the canteen. Today’s special was a delicious samosa, which I devoured in just a few bites. The perfect way to refuel!
Post-snack, I headed back to my desk and continued working on my tasks. I managed to complete two of the tasks on my list, which was a huge relief.
As the clock struck 7:15 PM, I packed up my things and headed home. As I walked out of the office, I ran into my father, who was just returning from his evening walk. We walked home together, chatting about our respective days.
As soon as we got home, we sat down to have a cup of tea together. We then proceeded to do our evening puja, which is a daily ritual for us. Today being Sankashti-chaturthi, we made some modaks, which are a favorite snack of Lord Ganesh.
We had a simple yet satisfying dinner, and then I settled in to write this blog post. As I reflect on my day, I realize that it wasn’t particularly exciting, but it was fulfilling nonetheless.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my day. If you did, please do leave a comment and let me know. also please do read my yesterday’s blog about A day in my life: From Schooter to Netflix. I’d love to hear from you!
That’s all for today, folks.
